Die Turtmannhütte wurde 1928 auf einen steinigen Grasrücken auf 2'519 m gebaut und regemässig renoviert. Sie bietet eine Sicht auf die Brunegg- und Turtmanngletscher, auf das Diablonmassiv und das 4'000 m hohe Bishorn sowie die gewaltige Barrwand.
The Turtmannhütte was built in 1928 on a stony grassy ridge at 2,519 m and has been regularly renovated. It offers a view of the Brunegg and Turtmann glaciers, the Diablon massif and the 4,000 m high Bishorn as well as the mighty Barrwand.
The hut is a favorite meeting place for nature lovers and alpine hiking and mountaineering enthusiasts. Its modern infrastructure offers practical comfort for 74 guests.
The Alpe Blüomatt is located in the mystical Turtmann Valley. Grazing cows on lush alpine pastures and an alpine cheese dairy with tasty cheese await our guests. It is managed by the Turtmanntal Alpine Cooperative, which also runs the Alpe Rotigen.
